The genesis of iRideArusha started with a spark of adventure in my early 20s while living in Chicago. I bought my first motorcycle and immediately felt an unparalleled sense of freedom. That bike became my key to the city, taking me to neighborhoods and hidden gems I might have otherwise overlooked. Whether it was riding down Ogden avenue which is the start of route 66 or cruising down Lake Shore Drive. That bike helped me experience the full diversity and richness of Chicago’s culture, not just through the iconic landmarks but through the everyday people, the lesser-known corners, and the open road. The motorcycle gave me a new lens through which to view life—a sense of connection, discovery, and independence that I wanted to share with others.
Years later, my journey brought me to my wife, a Tanzanian native who had spent most of her adult life in California. Her deep love for her homeland sparked something in me. She often spoke of Tanzania’s beauty, the landscapes, the people, and the spirit of the country. Together, we dreamed of a way to introduce this incredible part of the world to visitors in a way that felt personal, authentic, and adventurous.
It was through this shared passion for exploration and connection that iRideArusha was born. Partnering with the iRide Team, we combined my love for motorcycles with her desire to showcase the beauty of Tanzania. Based in Arusha, the heart of East Africa, iRideArusha offers riders the same sense of discovery I first felt in Chicago—only now, the landscape is filled with the vast plains of the Serengeti, the towering peak of Kilimanjaro, and the rich culture of Tanzania.

We aim to provide more than just motorcycle tours; we want to offer a deep connection to the country’s culture, landscapes, and people. By offering guided tours, rentals, and lessons, we hope to open up Tanzania’s hidden gems to travelers who crave adventure and authenticity. Whether it’s riding along the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro or through local villages, our goal is to showcase the true essence of Tanzania while fostering a sense of freedom and exploration.
We also envision iRideArusha as a hub for adventure enthusiasts, both local and international. By working closely with the local community and providing employment opportunities, we aim to support Tanzania’s tourism and economy while promoting sustainable travel practices. Our long-term goal is to expand our offerings, connecting riders with more remote regions and fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural richness of Tanzania. We believe that through the open road, travelers can create lifelong memories while leaving a positive impact on the places they visit.
